💉 MY LIP INJECTION EXPERIENCE 💉

On Wednesday 19th of August, I made the 4hour car trip from Chinchilla to the @ All About Face Skin Clinic on Chevron Island on the Gold Coast for my first experience into Lip Enhancement.

Once all the necessary paper work was signed with my consent.

It was time for the consultation with my injector Lexi & a little bit of numbing cream while we chat.

I was recommended to try 1ml Emerval, their entry level product to see how it reacted with my body for my first experience.

I have incredibly thin lips with no definition so my goal was to build filler over multiple sessions if this was something I'd continue doing.
Happy to follow her direction and start with the 1ml, though I was willing to go up to 1.5ml if acceptable.

The procedure itself took about 5 mins to complete and we were done! SO QUICK!

I was anxious & scared. Either nothing was going to happen or I'd be look like a duck.
Note to self - do not google any images. 99% of the time it's of a bad experience.

I looked in the mirror and I could of cried.... out of JOY! I had FULL POUTY LIPS!
❤️❤️ I couldn't believe it! ❤️❤️

️Pricing always depends on what you are recommended for your needs (must be a qualified nurse) and what clinic you visit.

The Emerval 1ml I received was on special for $490. I paid in full but they do offer payment plans too.

❌DOES IT HURT?!😵❌
Truthfully & thankfully it's bearable. 👍✔️
It's uncomfortable and definitely strange feeling the filler injected but bearable.
Overall I had 6 needle entries.
4 on Top - 2 on Bottom Lip.
Top is more painful in comparison to the bottom. Bottom was completely painless for me.

❌DID YOU BRUISE?❌
With my experience I did get a long bruise along the right side of my upper lip.
However the Bruise and swelling reduced heavily over 24 hours.

❌WOULD I GET IT DONE AGAIN?❌
Hell YES! ✔️✔️✔️✔️✔️ I CANT WAIT!

❌WILL YOU DO ANYTHING DIFFERENT NEXT SESSION❌
I will see how the next few months progress, as I do have a very fast metabolism so I expect the product to dissolve faster than the usual client. If it lasts 4-6 months that would be good for my expectations to my metabolism but if shorter 2-4 months I may need a thicker filler (again as recommended by Lexi).

‼️DID YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE?‼️
The staff are funny, easy going, super friendly and most importantly qualified, experienced & amazing at what they do. It was so quick and for the most part painless. Leaving me comfortable from start to finish.

‼️OVERALL‼️
I am extremely happy with the final result.
Lexi added volume but kept the shape of my natural lip intact. The result is a prefect introduction into cosmetic fillers.
Next session we may be able to focus more on definition and shape now I actually have volume! Which is so amazing to me!

This was something I have always wanted to do/try. For a very long time (years) I have researched before taking the leap so please DO your research too. This is not something you should do because of the trend.

But if you do choose to go ahead with cosmetic fillers, All about Skin Clinic is a great clinic to visit. I do whole heartily recommend them to you girls ❤️

I also hope this post is helpful, to show you a true experience and result from cosmetics fillers. It is very hard to find before and afters reviews from actual clients as generally cosmetic procedures are private.

How to Keep your Natural Hair Healthy!

COCONUT OIL 

Coconut Oil is a Beautiful, Natural Organic Oil that adds moisture to both your hair & scalp.
There are alot of benefits to weekly treatments of Coconut oil.

Very cheap & simple way to keep your hair in top condition.

HOW TO USE:

• Use approximately 1 Tablespoon of raw virgin organic Coconut Oil.  
• Heat in the microwave for 15-30 seconds or over boiling water until melted
• Allow to cool to the touch 
• Massage through Hair & Scalp
• Best Results - Leave on overnight ( with a thin towel/scarf wrapped around your hair) 

 REMOVAL:

• Wash your hair thoroughly twice with a good fortifying shampoo such as Head & Shoulders
• Continue with your regular Hair Washing products
• Try to keep conditioner away from roots to avoid excess product 

• Blow-dry or Style as usual 
• Heat Protectants should always be used when heat styling hair

NOTE:
If you find you have left over residue. Hit the roots with a Dry shampoo to remove the excess oil :)

Virgin hair refers to the Raw state of Human hair.  Hair that has been completely untouched, unprocessed & remains with cuticles intact. 
The virgin category standards include hair which have NOT been permed, dyed, colored, bleached, chemically processed or heat styled in any way.

Remy Hair is known as the premium source as far as quality. Remy hair basically means the hair follicles all go in one single direction.
Remy hair is collected in a method in which all hair strands stay aligned in the natural direction as it grew.
Usually to ensure this, the hair is held in a ponytail & then cut. To guarantee top at top, and ends at ends, to maintain the natural texture pattern and cuticle direction. 
This eliminates tangling problems commonly found in non-Remy or lower quality hair.

WHY DO WE WANT VIRGIN HAIR?

Obviously not all hair can be virgin hair. But it does offer a great canvas to work with.

WHEN USING AS HAIR EXTENSIONS

When using different Origin types for Hair Extensions installation. Hair Extensions such as Beaded Weft, Tape & Micro Beads.  It is important to consider your hair type when choosing your hair origin.

The origin is really all about TEXTURE, the way it will behave when installed. This is the main structure of the hair which includes density, pattern, luster, movement & natural colour state.

Example, Hair Weight & Density
Someone with very fine hair would be better suited to a European Hair texture but can also use Indian, Brazilian & Eurasian. Where as Peruvian or Malaysia hair type may be too thick of a density for the clients finer hair to support. 

Example, Texture style
Do you want bouncy full curly styled hair? Peruvian hair is prefect curly styled hair as the courser texture allows the curls to hold for longer. Where as a softer texture like Cambodian will drop almost immediately due to the softness of the hair structure.

Indian Virgin hair

Indian hair also known as Temple Hair is one of the most popular hair types on the market today. A very light & easily controlled hair type.

Examples of Rogue Hair Extension Synthetics

As the industry expands & technologies advance we are starting to see a massive improvement in the quality of Synthetic hair.

The denier & texture of the hair is becoming more comparable to Human Hair with less tangling & a smoother finish.
 
These lightweight and easy to attach extensions provide instant length & change of colour.
Available in either 1 piece (5 Clip) or a 7pc (4x1, 3x2, 2x2, 2x1) option.


 Heat Resistant Styling:

Synthetic has a reputation for melting when in contact with heat.
Thankfully, fibers are now being created to resist heat.

Straighten/Curl your Synthetic hair with a styling tool that has a digital temperature gauge. Typically, synthetic hair cannot withstand heat over 180 degrees, so a high setting will not be safe for synthetic hair.

I have tested the heat resistance with a GHD Eclipse (180 Degrees), which resulted in amazing results. I do not recommend temperatures over 180.

STRAIGHTENING

Step 1:
Brush through hair

Step 2:
Spray either Heat Protection spray or water to the hair & straighten as required


CURLING

There is a huge difference in how we Curl style synthetic fibers.
The Heat-Resistant Synthetic section piece must be clipped away and allowed to cool in order for the curl to set correctly. Then you continue to the next piece.

Once the curl has been styled & set, you can only remove the curl by flat-ironing the hair.
Again with the same method to curl & allowed section to cool before contact with next section.

The same goes for pre-set synthetic curly hair extensions that you want to flat-ironed; these should be anchored straight until cool and must be washed to restore the curl.
 

HOW TO INSTALL:

Easy to Attached, Style & Remove

1.  Comb and divide your hair in a straight line
2. Attach the extension close to the hairline, push and lock in the 5 clips. Ensure they are flat to the head to eliminate any bumps to remand undetected.
3. Once all clips are locked in, blend the extensions into your natural hair by letting your hair down & brushing gently.
4. Style as necessary 
5. To remove undo all clips & remove.

Style in a braid or fish tail!

HOW TO STORE:

Storing your Synthetic extensions will be very important as they won't be installed semi permanently.

I recommend two ways;

OPTION 1:

• Use a hanger with crocodile clips. 
• Open your extension & use the hangers clip to attach to each end. 
• Brush through ends & store by hanging in your closet

OPTION 2:

• Tie the extensions with a band around the top with extensions folded over.
• Place in packaging to keep from tangling
• Store away in cupboard or drawer

• Easy to use. Not extra styling required

• Can be worn down but recommend wearing in a braid or styled to reduce tangling 

Con:

• Lack of versatility  
• Blondes in particular can look a little shiny especially with flash photography. DO NOT RECOMMEND for a special occasion where photographs will be taken. 
• It will tangle easy if not looked after or stored correctly
• Does have a synthetic smell - Recommend to wash with shampoo or fabric softener. 
• Is not a substitute for human hair
• Lifespan 2-3 months extensions 5-6 months for wigs
