Sedona Brushes "Real Techniques" DUPES

IMAGE HEAVY!

I found this 19 Piece Makeup Brush Set on eBay for $60!!
What a bargain!

Its an amazing, cheap dupe for Real Techniques Makeup Brushes.

Here's what I think of them!

Makeup Brushes are known as "TOOLS OF THE TRADE" for artists in the industry.
An necessity that will cost a pretty penny for high end quality!

These brushes are far from the best available but are quite amazing for the everyday user.
Would they have the durability for a Makeup Artist - Probably not!

Take a look at the photos below! See for yourself - I'd love to see your comments if you've used something similar in the past.

BRUSH HAIRS

All created with synthetic nylon two tone hair bristles head & a resin handle.

Available in gold, purple or pink colours they are a perfect dupe for the Real Techniques brushes created by youtube's Pixiwoo's Samantha Chapman.
The Sedona Brush at first glance have similarities to the Real Techniques line however certainly does not compete with the superior quality of the UK brand.

PRO: Super soft & dense great for the application of liquid foundations or cream blushes.
CON: Synthetic fibers do not hold powders well. A natural bristle brush would help complete the collection.

EYE & SMALL BRUSHES

I was surprised to find a nice selection of eye & contour blending brushes.

A variety of definers, shaders & eyeliner brushes creating essentials for your kit.

BUT what are they all missing?
A numbering system! I want to be able to locate my "217 M.A.C Blending brush" or "Sigma E60 - Large Shader".

Sigma have a great number codes.  Brushes are coded with an E for Eyes, F for Face, L for Lips etc before the number. Example F10 for a Powder/Blush Brush. It creates a purpose for that brush.

FACE BRUSHES

Nothing like new soft brushes right ^.^

Absolutely loving the face brushes, so dense & unbelievably soft.

With 11 different options this set gives you every brush for the job!  Great selection of Powder, cheek, contour & buffing brushes

** A synthetic brush will differ some what to a natural haired bristled brush.

Natural haired can be soft at first touch but you can notice a spiky texture to them, this is what makes them great for holding powder products.

Synthetic face brushes will apply cream/liquid product perfectly however as they are so soft powders just don't grab.

QUALITY

You can definitely see the differences in a "Real Techniques" Brush & Sedona Brush.

1. Handle quality.
             - Noticeable indents/chips during production.
             - The purple resin metal handle feels sturdy.
             - Black base with some (not all) seem loose.

2. Durability.
              - For every day users who regularly wash their Makeup Brushes should see the set last at least a year before seeing the durability fade.
              - For an Artist who uses & washes multiple times daily may notice glue in the handle disintegrate & loosen within a few months.

Overall ~~

Overall, I think the Sedona Brush Set is a amazing inexpensive starter kit for all makeup lovers or beginners who want to get a feel for different purposed brushes.

The quality of the brush head material is fabulous but I question the longevity of the handle.

Affordable! Leaving the cost at approximately $3.45 each.
Competitors selling a similar individual brush for up to $80.  However you a purchasing a supreme product & reputation of that brand.

Finally, the quality, selection of brushes & price creates one hell of a deal!

 SIMILAR BRUSH SET PRICES

There is absolutely nothing wrong with purchasing a great makeup brush from high end cosmetics companies. Who can resist the excitement of walking out of a department store with a bag full of goodies. ^.^

As a makeup artist myself, these were essentials, M.A.C, Napoleon & Sigma brushes have lasted me years however at a unbelievable price

I have come to find not all my brushes need to be high end. Especially ones I had to replace every few months. Example Foundation brushes that require daily deep cleaning.

Here are a few complete sets available that are outstanding. I can assure you will not be disappointed with either of these brands.
